Shri Ganeshdas Rathi Chhatralaya Samitee, the parent body of the college, was founded in the year 1950 with a generous grant of Rs. 50,000/-by Shri Rai Bahadur Ganeshdasji Rathi, a good Samaritan to provide hostel facility for students from rural areas. The society has a noble mission of removal of the ignorance from the minds of the people by providing them education and nourishing them with selfless work, enlightening learning and compassionate service to humanity. This mission of nourishing the spirit of our ignited minds percolates each and every activity run by the society thereby reflecting effective leadership and humanitarian approach in governance.

One of the objectives of the Society is to provide affordable, inclusive education to students across rural and semi-urban regions, minimizing disparities in opportunity and infrastructure. Keeping this in mind, the Samitee felt the need for establishing different educational institutions in Amravati city as well as in the rural areas .This dream of the Society got materialized with the establishment of various Schools and Colleges. From humble beginnings to the present day, our Society has traversed a path marked by milestones of achievements. The sapling, which was planted seven and half decades ago, has blossomed into a full-grown tree. Today we have total 20 Educational Institutions providing education from K.G.to P.G.and even Ph.D.to the students from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to achieve their full potential.

These institutions were founded at such a point of time when thinking of higher education was like asking for the moon especially for the masses, as there were very few educational institutes imparting higher education. The Society being an iota in the vast ocean of Education has definitely been contributing its mite towards the attainment of quality and excellence. Recently, the Society has been recognized as Marwari Linguistic Minority Educational Society by the Government of Maharashtra Through its growth and development, the Ganeshdas Rathi Education Society remains dedicated to its mission of delivering quality education and shaping the minds of future generations.
